City Council Will Hold Several Public Hearings Tuesday

Rezoning one piece of property on Medicine Lake Road and assessments for delinquent utility bills and miscellaneous charges are on the agenda.

Members of the Golden Valley City Council will preside over several public hearings on Tuesday.
The subjects are:

  • A resolution for assessments of more than $315,000 in delinquent utility bills.
  • A resolution for assessments of more the $29,000 in miscellaneous charges, such as legal charges, citations, mowing and false alarms.
  • A motion by Paul Kelley of 6601 Medicine Lake Road to rezone his property as moderate-density residential. it currently is zoned single-family residential. If approved, he would tear down the current house on the property and built  one or two single-family homes; a twin home or duplex; or a small townhouse development with no more than four units. City "staff does not object" to the request because the property is on County Road 70 and between two school properties, according to the city council packet.
