City Council Will Discuss Adult Day-care Facility Expansion

Business on Boone Avenue wants to increase clientele from 70 to 265, according to the council packet.

The City Council will discuss a possible expansion to the adult day-care facility at 800 Boone Ave.

Currently the facility can serve 70 clients; the owners would like to increase that to 265 people.

Leeds, Inc., recently vacated a 12,500-square-foot area in the Boone Avenue building. Legacy Adult Daycare Inc., otherwise known as DRAM Properties, would like to use that space to expand. They already occupy other areas of the building.

The planning commission has recommended the City Council approve the business' request to amend the conditional use permit so it can expand.
