Police Arrest Two for Firearms Violations in Golden Valley

On Jan. 21, Golden Valley police arrested four men at the intersection of Interstate 394 and Louisiana Avenue South. At about 2:30 a.m., police pulled over a driver for improper lane use. Two of the men in the car were previously convicted of a crime of violence, according to recent Golden Valley arrest reports. Both men were arrested on firearm violations. The other two men were arrested on warrants.

Incidents reports show that the case was “handed off” to the Hennepin County Violent Offender Task Force. According to the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office website, the task force works on investigations of the “county's most violent offenders who are engaging in suspected illegal activity and have a violent history based on arrests or convictions for homicides, weapons, aggravated robberies, narcotics, and assaults.”
