The annual Golden Valley Fire Relief Association Street Dance will go on come rain or shine this weekend.
According to Golden Valley Fire Chief Mark Kuhnly, even if bad weather hits the city, there is no backup date for the event. If bad weather prevents the festivities from being outside it will be down-sized and moved indoors.
The Street Dance is slated for 5:30 p.m. to midnight at the Chester Bird American Legion. The event is usually done outdoors, but will move inside the Legion for inclement weather. If the fireworks get rained out those will be rescheduled for 10 p.m. Sunday, June 23.
