Golden Valley Woman Faces Felony Assault Charges for Inappropriate Act

The Pioneer Press reports that a Golden Valley resident is facing assault charges after throwing a used tampon at police officers on Sunday, Feb. 10.

In an article published on Feb. 13, the Pioneer Press reported that Johnetta Cheryel Mack, of Golden Valley, was arrested for fighting in a bar and now faces additional fourth-degree assault charges after an altercation with Blue Earth County police.

According to the article, Mack was drunk at Oleander Saloon in Mankato when she allegedly assaulted another woman. Bar security had Mack in handcuffs when police arrived.

When police transported Mack to Blue Earth County Jail, the Pioneer Press reports that Mack was involved in a routine strip searched when she “removed a tampon” and tossed it at officers. Those actions resulted in felony assault charges.
