Police Officer Offers Guided Bike Tour of Golden Valley

The city's 15-mile 'Police Bike-A-Long' will be held in September.

Golden Valley Police Sgt. Denny Arons, who heads up the bike patrol, is hosting a "Police Bike-A-Long" on Sept. 10.

The 15-mile tour is for people age 18 and older who have their own bicycles and helmets.

"Arons will guide you through the Hennepin County trail system and detour by points of interest, such as scenes of past crimes that have been investigated by the police department," according to a news release from the city.

The tour will begin at 1 p.m. at the  and will return to the station at about 4 p.m. There will be one or two refreshment stops along the way.

Space is limited, however, so if you're interested you should register soon, according to the news release. To register, call the police department at (763) 593-8079 or email police@goldenvalleymn.gov.
