A 41-year-old man has been arrested but not yet charged.

Police arrested a 41-year-old Robbinsdale Cooper hall monitor Friday after a female student’s parents accused him of having sex with her, Fox 9 reported Monday.

No charges have been filed yet against the man, who works in the attendance office and has been with the district for two and a half years. Patch is not disclosing his name until charges are filed.

Officials have not released the girl’s age, although police said she’s a minor.

The Robbinsdale School District released the following statement to Fox 9:

"This is a horrible incident, and the district finds acts such as this reprehensible. The safety and well-being of our students is our top priority, and our hearts go out to the family during this time. Robbinsdale Area Schools and Cooper High School are working closely with police on this matter, and we will continue to support Cooper students and families during this time."

The man is no longer employed with the district.
