UPDATE: Murder Charge Filed Against Golden Valley Teen

Damone Christopher Williams-Tillman faces up to 40 years in prison in the death last Friday of Josselyn Bishop.

Damone Christopher Williams-Tillman was charged Tuesday morning with second-degree murder in the death last Friday of Josselyn Bishop, a fellow student at Minnesota State University-Mankato.

Chris Tillman, as he is known to others, is being held in the Blue Earth County Jail. If convicted, Williams-Tillman faces up to 40 years in prison.

According to a report from FOX9 News, Bishop and Tillman, both 19, were driving in Tillman's car and discussing their relationship when the talk turned to an argument over Bishop seeing someone else. According to the report, Tillman told investigators he struck Bishop at least once with a knife inside the car. The report says Bishop fled the car and started to run but fell, and Tillman caught up with her and continued stabbing her.

Bishop was found Friday afternoon near the intersection of North Victory and Sohler drives, and she died at the scene.

Golden Valley Police helped Mankato authorities find Tillman at his father's home in Golden Valley. He agreed to an interview with investigators on Saturday morning, and he was arrested afterward.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office is conducting an autopsy on Bishop.
