Night to Unite Gatherings Will Be Held Throughout Golden Valley on Tuesday

The annual event hopes to build neighborhood bonds and lead to reduced crime.

On Tuesday, residents throughout Golden Valley and the state will gather in their neighborhoods for potluck dinners, ice cream socials and pool parties.

The annual event is called Night to Unite. The goal of the gatherings is to strengthen community bonds and ultimately prevent crime.

About 75 gatherings have been registered with the , according to information provided by Joanne Paul, crime analyst and support services supervisor at the Golden Valley Police Department. Police or fire representatives are expected to be at each gathering.
