Four people were involved in the crash. The State Patrol and Hennepin County Sheriff's Office are investigating.

Three vehicles and four people were involved in a broadside crash around 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, on Highway 55 near Plymouth.

The incident happened at Pinto Drive and Highway 55 in Medina as one vehicle, a Chevy Impala, was going west on the highway and ran a red light. The other two vehicles—a Kawaski Road motorcycle and a Honda FIT—were going south on Pinto Drive turning onto eastbound Highway 55 when they were struck by the other vehicle.

Four people were involved, and the State Patrol has indicated the crash included a "serious injury." However, it is not clear how many people were injured and the extent of their injuries. Those involved including an 18-year-old Greenfield man, a 65-year-old Minnetonka man, a 58-year-old Minnetonka woman and a 68-year-old Wayzata woman.

The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and State Patrol are investigating the incident.

(Location of the incident was corrected in this article to reflect that it happened in Medina, not Plymouth. We apologize for the error.)
