Metro Police Take Down Fugitive on St. Louis Park, Golden Valley Border

Golden Valley and Minnetonka Police Departments arrested Jeffrey Frank, of Richfield, at Interstate 394 and Highway 100 on Aug. 21.

The intersection of Interstate 394 and Minnesota Highway 100 was a mess Tuesday morning as multiple agencies converged to take down a fugitive wanted by the Minnesota Department of Corrections.

Details of the incident are sketchy, but officers converged on the suspect around 9 a.m. this morning to apprehend the suspect.

Minnesota Department of Transportation cameras captured the action as more than a half dozen marked and unmarked vehicles came to the scene.

The Facebook site Police Clips stated the fugitive had a record of assaulting officers and fleeing in the past.

Patch will have more on this story as it develops.

Thank you GVPD, and other agencies for getting this person off the streets!

I agree 100%. This is the person who will kill an innocent bystander to get away. We are lucky to have brave, well-trained officers to keep our streets safe from people like this. My heroes wear Kevlar.
