Local Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident

The victim wasn't wearing a helmet when his motorcycle left the road and rolled several times.

A 65-year-old Golden Valley man was killed while riding his motorcycle in Crow Wing County this weekend. The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office hasn't released the man’s name.

According to reports, at approximately 5 p.m. Saturday, the man was traveling south on County Road 8, just past the intersection of County Road 108, when his motorcycle left the road and rolled several times.

The victim was en route to the Brainerd lakes area, traveling with a motorcycle club from the Twin Cities. He wasn't wearing a helmet.

The accident is currently under investigation by the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office. North Ambulance, North Aircare, State Patrol, DNR and the Brainerd Fire Department assisted at the scene.
