A man's temper flared after a woman wouldn't sell him her car.
Golden Valley Police responded to the following incidents between Jan. 28 and Feb. 3.
Jan. 28
A home on the 5000 block of Olson Memorial Highway was broken into while the residents were away from home. No arrests were made.
Jan. 29
A Crystal woman parked her car in Golden Valley’s Byerlys parking lot and returned to find her license plates stolen.
Police conducted an exterior site evaluation of a home located on the 1700 block of Gettysburg Court and noted several “violations.” The Golden Valley resident was the “object of 50 police calls in the last year.”
Jan. 31
A woman’s car window was broken and purse stolen. Her car was parked at 4959 Olson Memorial Highway.
Feb. 3
More than $1,000 worth of damage was done to a Michigan woman’s car when suspects smashed her passenger window and stole personal items from her car parked at 1325 Theodore Wirth Parkway.
A Roseville woman was trying to sell a Minneapolis man her Subaru, but when she decided not to sell the car, the man called her “a cunt,” slammed the hood the of her and caused about $400 worth of damage, according to a recent Golden Valley Police report.
A drunk Golden Valley man was followed by police after he hit a light pole near Highway 100 and Interstate 394, and then drove away. The man was later arrested on fourth-degree DWI charges.
