Have You Seen This Missing Sign in Golden Valley?

A Bassett Creek restoration project educational sign was stolen sometime between June 20-21 from its location on the 2600 Block of Unity Ave. N. The Golden Valley Police Department seeks the community’s help in locating it.
The sign is valued at about $600 and was designed to inform residents about the restoration techniques used on Bassett Creek to prevent erosion and water contamination.

Police Lieutenant Jeff Johnson said the sign was pulled out of its place and taken along with its attached pole. Johnson said there’s no apparent motivation for taking the sign. Someone may have just pulled it out and hidden it in the woods as a form of vandalism.

If you have seen the sign or know what might have happened to it, please call Johnson at 763-593-8020. Anyone who finds it may also return it to the Golden Valley Police Department.
