Golden Valley Officers Involved in Overnight Chase Investigation

Police say man drove more than 100 mph and then fled on foot in St. Louis Park.

Golden Valley police officers are working with the State Patrol, Minneapolis police and Hennepin County to track down a man who led officers on a high-speed chase early this morning.

KARE-11 is reporting that "officers began pursuing a gray Chevy HHR just before 3 a.m. when the driver was traveling the wrong way on Interstate 394."

The man left 394 at Louisiana Boulevard in St. Louis Park, stopped near some apartments, left his car and ran.

Joanne Paul, Golden Valley police spokeswoman, said the State Patrol is in charge of the investigation. Additional information about the investigation was not available this morning.
