Golden Valley Man Reportedly Sells Crack Cocaine in a School Zone
Minneapolis Police say that the man was caught during an undercover operation.
On Feb. 22, Minneapolis Police arrested Golden Valley resident Jesse Floydell Gray for allegedly selling crack cocaine across the street from Marcy Holmes Open School in Minneapolis, a felony.
Gray, 54, was also arrested on two third-degree drug possession charges, both carrying a maximum penalty of up to 20 years in prison or a fine of $250,000.
According to a complaint filed in Hennepin County District Court, Minneapolis Police went on an undercover investigation to attempt to purchase crack cocaine from a man known as “Jesse.”
Gray met officers near Marcy Holmes Open School, entered their car, and offered them “suspected crack cocaine” in three bundles.
Officers drove around the block, paid Gray, and, as he exited the car, arrested him.
The criminal complaint shows that the three bundles of drugs tested positive for .8 grams of crack cocaine and .5 grams of cocaine. After a search, Gray also had 4.4 grams of cocaine and .8 grams of heroin in his pockets.
