Golden Valley Man Arrested for Violating No-Contact Order

Police say they found Deondra Redmon hiding beneath a bed in a Rosemount house, with a pair of brass knuckles.

A Golden Valley man has been charged with violating a no-contact order in Rosemount, and hiding under a bed in the victim’s house when police arrived.

Deondra Redmon, 30, is charged with violating a domestic abuse no-contact order, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. 

According to the criminal complaint, police were called to a Rosemount home on July 22 to investigate a domestic incident.

The caller said the suspect was “being physical” with the female victim, that he might have brass knuckles and that there were numerous children in the house.

Police arrived and spoke to the victim, and found Redmon hiding under a bed in one of the home’s upstairs bedrooms. They searched him and found a pair of brass knuckles.

A domestic abuse no-contact order was issued June 4 by a Hennepin County judge, preventing Redmon from having any contact with the victim.

Redmon’s criminal record includes convictions for domestic assault, interfering with a 911 call and violating a no-contact order, all in 2011.

Redmon remains in the Dakota County Jail on a $50,000 bond. An omnibus hearing in his case is scheduled Aug. 14 in Dakota County District Court in Hastings.
