Freeway Crash Leads to Drunk Driver Arrest

Golden Valley police arrested the driver at the intersection of Interstate 394 and Highway 169.

On Feb. 3, Golden Valley police arrested a 41-year-old Hopkins man for speeding, drunk driving and driving after cancellation.

The man was stopped by the police when he was caught speeding near the intersection of Highway 169 and Interstate 394. According to a Golden Valley incident report, the man lost control of his car and crashed.

When police arrested the man, reports show that a breathalyzer test resulted in a .17 blood alcohol level. He was arrested on fourth-degree DWI charges.
