Do You Know Someone in the Path of Hurricane Sandy?

Hopkins Patch is looking for people with local connections who are affected by the storm.

Hurricane Sandy is bearing down on the Northeast and is expected to hit New York and New Jersey later today.

But the storm isn’t just a regional disaster. Although it’s making landfall more than 1,000 miles from Hopkins, its effects will be felt across the country and the world.

Do you know a Hopkins High School grad who now works in the path of the storm? Do you have a son or daughter going to college out East? Hopkins Patch would like your help sharing these connections with neighbors throughout the community.

We invite anyone who would like to talk to call editor James Warden at 612-889-6452 or e-mail your story to james.warden@patch.com.

Those who just want to share photos of the situation can upload them right to this story. To add your images, click on the "Upload Photos and Videos" button under the photo above. Select the photos you want and then type in a caption. If you only have mobile access, feel free to text a photo to 612-889-6452 or e-mail the editor at james.warden@patch.com.

Most importantly, stay safe.

That sounds like quite a job, and I'm sure it's not easy to do. I appreciate his service.
