Vote for Hopkins School Board Candidates Anderson, Goodroad and Kurus

From Emily Wallace-Jackson:

I have 3 children in the Hopkins School District and have been an active volunteer for many years.  I serve as the co-chair of the District's Legislative Action Coalition with School Board member and candidate Betsy Scheurer Anderson.  I urge you to vote for Betsy.  As was evident at the School Board Candidate Forum last night, she has deep knowledge of the issues facing our school district (based on her 8 years on the School Board) and she is very thoughtful and articulate.  Betsy is a graduate of Hopkins High School and cares deeply about the children in our district.  At the forum last night, she described how the Hopkins schools have embedded Spanish, science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and International Baccalaureate (IB) programming into our schools.  In some school districts in the west metro, these programs are part of one school or are available to a select number of children. In the Hopkins School District, this programming is integrated into our curriculum and part of every child's education.  I believe that Betsy has helped move the Hopkins School Dsitrict in a positive direction and that she deserves re-election.  I also support Warren Goodroad (whose 4 children have attended Hopkins schools and has served on the School Board for 4 years) and Michael Doobie Kurus (a very active parent in the district and a special education teacher).  Vote on November 5th for Anderson, Goodroad and Kurus!
