To the Editor:
As an Early Childhood and Family Education parent educator for many years in the Hopkins and Wayzata school districts, I have learned firsthand the advantage that a quality early childhood education can give a life-long learner. I saw the direct result of high quality early education when we opened the doors at Beacon Academy in 2004 and through my work at the MN Dept. of Education.
Once I learned that Plymouth and Medicine Lake had become part of Senate District 46 I started to research the candidates. I was very excited to see that both Senator Ron Latz and Rep. Ryan Winkler support Early Childhood education and its importance in preparing our students for a successful K-12 education. They both share the value that our community has placed on making sure that our kids are not only prepared when they reach kindergarten but that we continue to invest in our schools so that every child reaches their full potential.
Please join me in voting for both Ron Latz and Ryan Winkler on Nov. 6 to continue investing in Minnesota’s quality education system.
