Bufkin, Mark E. age 57, of Golden Valley, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 1, 2012.
Mark was born in Omaha on January 25, 1955 to Clyde and H. Joyce Bufkin. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James. He is survived by his beloved wife, Denise Martineau; his daughters, Heather and Alicia; his sister, Susan, and his extended family.
A loving husband and father, Mark shared his love of music through teaching and his passion for community service through volunteer work. He held pivotal roles as a student at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, dedicated several years to fundraising efforts for the American Diabetes Association , and spent much of his time serving his church community.

A memorial service will be held at Emerson Congregational Church in Richfield, MN on Thursday, July 19 at 6:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mark's memory can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
