FIVE REASONS I’M RUNNING FOR CITY COUNCIL
To put the people of Golden Valley first
When a new idea, project or proposal comes to the council who is asking for it; Golden Valley residents, local businesses, out of town or out of state developers, other government entities?
Outside groups can and do have ideas that can be beneficial for Golden Valley residents but I believe that the people that live here should have the greatest voice for how their city looks, feels and functions.
To assess projects for their long term (5, 10 20+ year) value and viability for the people of Golden Valley
When we are reviewing projects it’s important that we look at how that project will affect the long term future of Golden Valley. We need to be sure that the project that looks great today will continue to be beneficial years from now and that the city won’t be saddled with an expensive or obsolete entity. We need to be sure that the groups proposing the projects can deliver on their commitments now and in the future.

To spend our limited resources to the benefit of our residents
Once we spend money or use land that resource is gone. I want to be sure that we use those resources in the way the best benefits the people of Golden Valley.
To make sure we continue to support our public safety departments
Golden Valley is one of the safest cities in the area. This is a testament to the men and women working to assure our continued public safety. I want to be sure our police and fire departments continue to get the funding they need to keep our city safe for our residents.

It’s a research job
It takes research to learn what the people of Golden Valley want. It takes research to assess the long term impact of projects. It takes research to look for any better alternatives.
Golden Valley is a great place to live, work, play and raise a family. I want to make sure that it continues to be the great city it is today.
