Good morning!  Did you know that today is “Free Doughnut Day!”? Ok, I know that I am always on a diet or trying to eat healthier and I am the first one to admit that the trusty doughnut is not a part of my staple diet.  However, come on! Today doughnuts are FREE! and you know that free stuff is my vice! Score!

On Friday, June 3, Krispy Kreme will give back to its guests by offering one FREE Krispy Kreme Doughnut on National Doughnut Day at participating retail locations.

Dunkin’ Donuts has also gotten into the free doughnut game by offering a free Dunkin Donut with the purchase of any beverage today! Dunkin’ is even offering you a chance to invite your Facebook Friends to have a free Donut on them if you go to the DD Facebook page.

National Doughnut Day is old–National Doughnut Day was established in 1938 by The Salvation Army to raise funds to help people in need. In honor of the 73-year-old holiday, Krispy Kreme is once again giving each guest who visits a participating U.S. Krispy Kreme shop on June 3 one FREE doughnut of any variety. No purchase is necessary to redeem the offer. (How’s THAT for a deal?)
