Who Is Your Neighbor? Immigration Stories from Around the Globe

This event is an opportunity to hear the immigration stories of Golden Valley neighbors from: Ethiopia, Mexico, and Romania. Each presenter will talk about the reasons they chose to leave their home country, how they handled the transition to life in the US, what they miss about their home country, and much more. Following each presentation, time will be allowed for questions from the audience.
In addition, a representative from ECHO (Emergency and Community Health Outreach) www.echominnesota.org will be in attendance to discuss the work they are doing to bridge the communications gap for immigrants and refugees in Minnesota.
