Annual Jewish Humor Event in Honor of Purim

Congregation Or Emet will host its president, Richard Logan, and member, David Fox, who will lead Or Emet's annual celebration of humor in Jewish life, featuring the sharing of favorite Jewish jokes and stories by members and guests. Jewish humor is one of the world’s greatest humor traditions, partly due to its having arisen out of so much adversity.

The program will be on Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:30 am and is free and open to the public. It will be at 1365 Englewood Ave., St. Paul, near Hamline University (in the building of the Friends School of Minnesota). Please enter north entrance by parking lot on N. Albert St.

Dr. Richard Logan, a retired Human Development and Psychology professor, will speak briefly about humor and coping, and about what makes jokes funny.

Co-host David Fox is a connoisseur of Jewish humor and a great story teller.

The highlight of the program will be the sharing of jokes and humorous stories by everyone. This is an audience participation event!  Bring your best!
