"Healthy Brain, Healthy Memory"

As we age, keeping the brain sharp is vital to enjoying a full and rewarding lifestyle.

On April 23, 2014, at 10 a.m., and again at 2 p.m., Linda Sasser will present practical tips for improving cognitive vitality when she presents “Healthy Brain, Healthy Memory” at Covenant Village of Golden Valley, a faith-based, not-for-profit, continuing care retirement community administered by Covenant Retirement Communities.

After discussing how memory works and typical age-related memory changes, Dr. Sasser will describe activities attendees can use to maintain and even improve brain function. She will teach her distinctive method of optimizing the brain functions of attention, working memory and long-term memory to remember names, information and tasks.

Sasser has an M.A. and Ph.D. in educational psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and is a former education professor at Judson University, Elgin, Ill. and Wheaton College, Wheaton, Ill. Presenting content relevant to senior adults, Sasser will encourage audience participation.

Seating for this event is limited. To register, please visit www.CovenantVillageofGoldenValley.org or call (877) 804-7017.
