Sunday Tornado Watch for Golden Valley
Parts of southern Minnesota are under a tornado watch Sunday night, including Golden Valley.
A tornado watch has been issued until 11 p.m. Sunday night that includes the Twin Cities metro along with the southern half of Minnesota and parts of southwest and west central Wisconsin.
The storms moving into Minnesota are part of a strong system of severe weather that killed at least five people in Oklahoma. There are reports of more than 100 tornado touchdowns this weekend throughout the Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Iowa.
The storm could bring large hail, heavy rain and high winds through the metro area tonight.
