Check out the list of events at the Golden Valley Library this month.

The Golden Valley Library has several events of interest to the public this month.

AARP Tax Aide Assistance

Thursdays, March 1–15, 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
Trained AARP volunteer tax counselors will help seniors and others with low- to moderate-income with routine forms. Please bring the following records and information:

  • New 2011 tax form booklets
  • Copy of 2010 tax returns and claim for property tax refund
  • All documents and information concerning 2011 income, adjustments, deductions, credits and payments
  • 2011 property tax statement or Certificate of Rent Paid Card with mailing label, if you received one from either the Minnesota Department of Revenue or IRS.

Taxpayers with unusual or complex tax questions should seek help from the IRS or paid preparers.

Tuesdays, March 6–27, 10:15 a.m.

For children age 2 and up. Share books, stories, rhymes, music, and movement with your children.

Chemists in the Library

Saturday, March 17, 1:30–3:30 p.m.
K-grade 6. Learn about the wonders and excitement of chemistry with easy-to-do activities led by this volunteer group of chemistry students, teachers and professionals eager to share the science with all ages. Sponsored by the Minnesota Section of the American Chemical Society.
