Golden Valley Drowning Victim Identified

Authorities say Tony Martin Caine, 6, drowned . Caine, who was there for a family birthday party, drowned around 5:30 p.m.

Family members told KARE 11, Caine was with about a dozen of his cousins and siblings. Adults were watching the group, but family members now believe they didn’t have enough eyes on the children.

"Things happen fast, but also I should have made another adult come with me," Rose Walker, Tony's aunt told KARE 11. "I have watched all of them before and have never had an incident like this, but I should have asked for more assistance."

Lifeguards were on duty and administered CPR, but Caine was pronounced dead at North Memorial Hospital.

According to the Hennepin County Sheriffs Office, Caine is the sixth person this summer to drown in Hennepin County.
