Golden Valley Declares Snow Emergency

If your car is parked on a public street, it’s time to move it.

The City of Golden Valley issued a snow emergency Thursday afternoon as snow continued to fall on the Twin Cities. No parking is allowed on any street until plowing has been completed.

All Hopkins High School games have been canceled or postponed, according to the Lake Conference website. For Robbinsdale Cooper, all games except girls lacrosse and adapted softball have been postponed, according to the North Suburban Conference website.

A winter storm warning remains in effect for Golden Valley and much of Minnesota until 10 a.m. Friday.
