UPDATED: Freeze Warning in Golden Valley

A freeze warning remains in effect through Wednesday morning.

Cover up the pansies, cool temperatures will settle in Tuesday night in Golden Valley.

The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning through Wednesday morning with temperatures predicted in the upper 20s. This stretch of cold weather could bring a frost in some areas, which would be the first frost since March 9.

For those gardeners that got an early start to the planting season, it could spell trouble. Flowers should be covered with some sort of cloth sheet; a bed sheet will do, but never use plastic as it can burn the plants.
