Area Students Recognized for Academic, Athletic Achievements

A listing of local students who made the dean's list or recently received their college degree.

Students from Golden Valley and surrounding areas have been recognized for their academic and athletic college achievements. The below listing of students is provided by each corresponding college.

University of Wisconsin-River Falls

Regina Johnson, of Robbinsdale, MN, received a BS degree with a major in Biology during fall commencement ceremonies at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in December. Bachelor's degrees were awarded to 378 students while 59 students received master's degrees.

Mount St. Mary's University

Rachel Wilder, from Robbinsdale, MN, is among the 555 students who earned dean's list honors for the fall 2012 semester at Mount St. Mary's University. Rachel, a sophomore at the Mount, achieved dean's list by maintaining a 3.4 or higher grade point average. Rachel is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. William Wilder.

Dunwoody College

The following students qualified for inclusion in the Dunwoody College of Technology fall semester dean's list by upholding a 3.5 or higher grade point average:

University of Minnesota, Crookston

Students named to the fall semester 2012 Dean's List at the University of Minnesota, Crookston were announced by the Office of the Registrar. The U of M, Crookston is one of the most respected career-oriented, technology-based universities in the nation.

To qualify for a place on the Dean's List, students must complete 12 or more letter-graded (A-F) credits while attaining a 3.66 grade point average. The Crookston campus is the online leader in the University of Minnesota system and the only campus providing every full-time student with a laptop computer.

Toynell Delaney from Golden Valley, MN majoring in Health Management

Shane Dunker from Saint Louis Park, MN majoring in Information Technology Mgmt

Emily Hargrove from St Louis Park, MN majoring in Marketing

Upper Iowa University

Jessica Dickhaus of Golden Valley, MN, was named to the Upper Iowa University 2012 Fall Dean's List. To be honored, the undergraduate must have earned a minimum 3.50 GPA for the semester and be enrolled as a full-time student.

Carleton

Haley Johnson, a resident of Golden Valley, MN, is a member of the Carleton women's indoor track and field team for the 2013 season. Johnson is a graduate of Robbinsdale Cooper High School and is currently a senior at Carleton.

Drake University

The following local residents achieved a GPA of 3.5 or above and were named to the Drake University Dean's List for the Fall 2012 semester:

College of St. Scholastica

The following students have been named to the Fall 2012 Dean's List at The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN:

Benjamin Fox of Golden Vly, MN, is a Junior majoring in Psychological Science - intended.

Tina Ryskewecz of New Hope, MN, is a Senior majoring in Health Information Management - intended.

Megan White of New Hope, MN, is a Junior majoring in Undeclared.
