Make a difference on Give to the Max Day

Thursday, November 15 is GiveMN.org's fourth annual "Give to the Max Day." This exciting day of giving is your chance to show support for the charities nearest to your heart.

Thursday, November 15 is GiveMN.org’s fourth annual “Give to the Max Day.” This is a day for Minnesotans to come together to raise millions of dollars for thousands of Minnesota nonprofits in just 24 hours. This exciting day of giving is your chance to show support for the charities nearest to your heart.

There are plenty of opportunities through the day to maximize your generosity including:

  • Dollar-for-dollar matches available from several organizations throughout the day
  • Randomly chosen $1,000 "Golden Ticket" bonuses every hour, and a $10,000 bonus added to one gift made during the final hour of the competition.
  • Grand prizes of $12,500, $5,000 and $2,500 awarded to the top three nonprofit organizations that receive the most dollars during Give to the Max Day
  • $1,000 bonus funds awarded for nonprofits that place 4th-10th on the leaderboard

Give to the Max Day is not only a great day for all of Minnesota's nonprofits, it’s also a great day for animals! Last year more than 1,700 animal lovers generously donated to Animal Humane Society on Give to the Max Day, making a huge difference for all of the animals we care for each year, animals like Lacey.

Lacey, a stray 5-month-old Pit Bull, arrived at Animal Humane Society with severe chemical burns across her entire back. Vet staff immediately treated the burns and fixed Lacey up with a custom bandage (one that resembled a shoe lace, hence her name) taking care to change it every day and monitor the burn site.

Throughout it all, Lacey remained a happy and active puppy, giving kisses to everyone she met and never tiring of chasing a tennis ball. After two weeks in foster care, Lacey’s wounds healed, returned to Animal Humane Society and was quickly adopted into a new loving home.

Through the support of people like you, we are able to care for animals like Lacey when they need us most.

Spread the word to family, friends, and co-workers and encourage them to support their favorite nonprofits this Thursday. A new feature this year even allows you to schedule your donation in advance and it will be processed at the start of Give to the Max Day.

Join us in proving to the world just how generous Minnesotans are!
