Get excited about spring with the Walk for Animals!

Join thousands of Minnesotans as they celebrate the human-animal bond on May 4 in Golden Valley.

On Saturday May 4, thousands of animal lovers will lace up their sneakers, leash up their pets, and join together at Animal Humane Society’s Walk for Animals to raise money for the animals that need our help.

More than 10,000 people and 5,000 animals are expected to gather in Golden Valley for the nation’s largest human/pet walk, all to ensure that animals in our community have the help they deserve.

This year’s Walk for Animals carries the largest goal yet – $1.1 million. It is with these funds that we are able to continue to provide care and services for the thousands of animals that come through the doors of our five metro area shelters each year.

Not only is this our biggest fundraiser of the year, but it’s also a whole lot of fun. The Walk for Animals is perfect for the whole family, with activities for adults, kids, and of course – pets!

There is still plenty of time to register and raise pledges for the Walk and it’s easy. Those interested can go online, create a personal fundraising webpage, and encourage family, friends and colleagues to pledge money to help animals in our community. To sign up as an individual or with a team, or to raise funds online visit: www.animalhumanesociety.org/walk.
