New Classes in Marketing a Small Business Now Offered at Anoka-Hennepin Community Ed.

The rules of marketing a small business have changed dramatically in today’s online world. Small business owners in Golden Valley and surrounding areas can learn how to market their business and attract new customers this April.

Anoka-Hennepin Community Education is holding two new classes on April 14 and 21 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. to help small business owners market their business.

“The New Rules of Marketing for Small Business” held on April 14 gives small business owners an overview of digital marketing, social media and SEO and how these can attract new customers.

“Search Engine Optimization” held on April 21 delves into the basics of search engine optimization or SEO, which is critical for a website to get found online.

“Most people do a simple Google search when they have an issue or need something,” said Maria Verven, instructor, owner of VERVE P.R. and a 30-year marketing veteran.. “The trick is to figure out what keywords people use when they are looking for your product or service and turn online lookers into buyers.”

Both classes are held at the Anoka-Hennepin Community Education Center at 2727 N. Ferry Street
