Golden Valley Resident Opens Coffee Shop in Maple Grove

The new business opened Dec. 1 and will be having a grand opening celebration Dec. 8.

Located in the Grove Shopping Center between Maple Grove Hospital and Super Target, a new business - Daily Dose Café and Espresso – opened Dec. 1.

Golden Valley resident Curtis Medina and Maple Grove resident Benjamin Haven own the business, which has eight employees.

“Curt and I are extremely excited to open our very own cafe and coffee shop in Maple Grove. As a resident of the neighborhood, I feel that we have the perfect location to offer great tasting, freshly made food and superior coffee in a location that is convenient to both our residential and business neighbors,” Haven said.

In addition to specialty coffee drinks, the Daily Dose offers a variety of food items including muffins, scones, and homemade desserts, as well as lunch and dinner items such as freshly made sandwiches, panini's, soups, and salads.

Daily Dose features locally sourced products, according to a press release, including locally roasted coffee beans and breads.

The Grand Opening Celebration will be Dec. 8 and will feature samplings, drink specials, a drawing and other offerings.  Prizes for the drawing include free membership in the Daily Dose Mug Club, according to a press release from Daily Dose, “where the winner will get a special Daily Dose Mug and we will fill it with our great drip coffee every time they visit in 2013.”

The business anticipates offering an order ahead option via cell phone app and online ordering in the near future.

Daily Dose is located at 15517 Grove Circle N. in Maple Grove. The hours are 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. It is closed on Sunday.
