General Mills Introduces New Mascot, Hans Strudel

Hans debuted in campaigns this week, according to reports.

There's a new kid in town when it comes to promoting Pillsbury Toaster Strudel, Hans Strudel.

According to the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business JournalGeneral Mills' newest mascot debuted this week to pitch Pillsbury Toaster Strudel in TV spots and digital campaigns instead of the Pillsbury Doughboy:

"The Golden Valley-based food company describes Hans as a 'fun and quirky young boy from the magical place of Breakfurg, a place where people are happy and breakfast is served all day long.'"

According to the Pioneer Press, Hans joins General Mills' "pantry" full of food mascots, including the Trix Rabbit, Lucky the Leprechaun, and, of course, Betty Crocker.
