Golden Valley Man Among Top Finishers In Wisconsin Stair Climb Fundraiser

Jason Larson of Golden Valley climbed a skyscraper's stairs 7 times for charity.

On Saturday, March 23, the American Lung Association in Wisconsin hosted the top participant and top fundraising Fight for Air Climb in the nation. Nearly 2,600
participants raised $556,000, beating out Lung Association climbs in more
populous cities around the country. Climbers scaled the U.S. Bank Center in
downtown Milwaukee, climbing 47 floors, 1,034 steps.

One of the climbers was Jason Larson of Golden Valley, Minnesota, who
climbed the U.S. Bank Center seven times with a total time of 51:31. Larson was
also a top Ultimate Climb finisher at the Minnesota Fight For Air Climb at the
Accenture Building in downtown Minneapolis in February.

“We are so proud of our climbers, volunteers and staff,” said Sue Swan, Executive
Director of the American Lung Association in Wisconsin. “We surpassed our
fundraising goal of $475,000, and are thrilled that the higher-than-expected
proceeds can be put to work immediately in the fight against lung disease,
funding research, education and advocacy.”
