WINNERS: Views of the Valley Photo Contest

Nine residents turned photographers won Golden Valley's 20th annual photo contest.

This year, Golden Valley residents entered 64 different photos in the City's Views of the Valley Photo Contest. Judges chose winners in three categories: Natural Golden Valley, Golden Valley Lifestyle and Enhanced. If the photo fit one of the three categories, and was taken within city limits, it was reviewed.

According to the City of Golden Valley, the overall winner was Amy Sands. Her photo, titled "A Closer Look," captured a delicate image of a dragonfly resting on a flower.

The people's choice photo was voted on by residents. Jason Bourdreau-Landis took home the prize for his photo titled "Silhouette of Autumn."
