Park Patrol Orientation

Become a Park Patroller. Help park guests while enjoying the outdoors as you patrol events and park trails on your bike, skates, skis, snowshoes, horse or on foot at several park locations. Benefits include the waiving of trail use fees while patrolling, Volunteer Fun Pass, training and experience. Find out what park patrolling is all about on Saturday, March 9, from 9-11:30 a.m., at French Regional Park, Plymouth.  This orientation is required for all new Park Patrol volunteers and covers Three Rivers volunteer orientation and Park Patrol procedures and protocols. Additional trainings are required.  Must be 16+.

Volunteer Opportunities Open House

Explore volunteer opportunities, meet park district staff and get started as a volunteer in natural resources, recreation, parks and trails, golf, cultural history, art and nature programs. Self-paced format. Arrive and leave at any time. Ages: 16 and older (unless accompanied by an adult).

  • Eagle Lake Youth Golf Center in Maple Grove – 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 16
  • Richardson Nature Center in Bloomington – 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 23
  • Eastman Nature Center in Maple Grove – 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 1
  • Hyland Ski & Snowboard Area in Bloomington – 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 9
  • Carl Kroening Interpretive Center in Brooklyn Center - 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 17
  • Fish Lake Regional Park in Maple Grove – 10:30 a.m. to noon Oct. 5
