Regional Sewer Force Main Project Will Close Wayzata Blvd South of 394 in Golden Valley

The closure has been postponed to be Oct. 7-11 because of recent rain.

Due to rain from the past week,  closure of a portion of Wayzata Blvd south of I-394 for tunnel work on the Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES) regional sanitary sewer force main project has been postponed to be Monday, Oct. 7 through Friday, Oct. 11.

The tunneling crew will close Wayzata Blvd on the south side of the I-394 between Utica Avenue South and Lilac Drive South from 7 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7 through 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, to work on unforeseen conflicting utility issues on the southernmost I-394 tunnel. 

The city of Golden Valley asks motorists and residents to please be patient and use caution when traveling through these areas.
