Planning a Night to Unite Gathering?

Night to Unite kits are now available from the Golden Valley Police Department.

Golden Valley’s Minnesota Night to Unite (MNTU) planning kits are ready! Join neighbors across Golden Valley and Minnesota Tuesday, Aug 7, 2012, for an evening meant to celebrate and strengthen neighborhood and community partnerships.

Cohesive neighborhoods are key to preventing crime, and Night to Unite is an opportunity for residents to come together around the shared goal of a safe and healthy community. It also reinforces the Golden Valley Police Department’s partnership with residents to deter crime.

In the past, Golden Valley neighborhoods have come together for potluck dinners, ice cream socials, lemonade parties, barbecues, swimming pool parties, etc. A successful block party takes a little motivation, some planning, a lot of cooperation, and the willingness to enjoy time with your neighbors.
