Like Craft Beer? Vote On It

A local magazine is asking Minnesota beer advocates to vote on the best breweries, beer blogs and, of course, beer in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas.

Omar Ansari, owner of Surly Brewing Co., was raised in Golden Valley. And if you're a fan of Surly beer and want to support a local, join the fun and vote in The Growler's contest.

The Growler, a bi-monthly magazine with a focus on craft beer, is conducting a poll to find out what beer wins in the world of craft brews. Beer advocates can vote for best brewpub, happy hour, new brewery, home brew club, craft beer bar, and brewery, which is where Surly Brewing Co. is listed.

Surly, which is based in Brooklyn Center, is in the brewery category with August Schell Brewing Co., Steel Toe Brewing, Summit Brewing Co. and Third Street Brewhouse. All of the breweries were initially selected by readers.
