Grab & Go Kids Planner: Week of March 2

Here are some fun things for your family to do in and around Golden Valley this week.

It sure felt like March would never arrive, but now that it has, we're left to wonder when it will ever start to feel like spring. If your family is stuck with a major case of the winter blahs, Golden Valley Patch is here for you.

 You're time-pressed enough, so we're happy to do the research and find the best things to do and places to go, both locally and within reasonable striking distance.

Here’s our list of family best bets this week:

  • Where/When: on Tuesdays at 10:15 a.m.
  • Why Go: Stories and music can help stimulate your baby’s (0-24 months) senses.
  • Price: Free, but call the library at (952) 847-5475 to reserve your spot

  • Where/When: on Fridays from 10-11:30 a.m.
  • Why Go: Enjoy an alternative indoor atmosphere to run, jump and crawl with your child (ages 1 to 5 years).
  • Price: $3 per child, pay at the door

 

  • Where/When: on Thursday, Mar. 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4:30 to 7 p.m.
  • Why Go: Introduce your kids to the idea of charity events being fun. Not to mention feed them a hot meal while supporting the local food shelf.
  • Price: No admission fee but there is a suggested free-will offering.

 

  • Where/When: on Wednesday, Mar. 2 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Why Go: Anyone in grade 7 and up that loves Anime will greatly appreciate the opportunity to watch Japanese animation on the big screen.
  • Price: Free

 

  • Where/When: on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
  • Why Go: If you’ve been looking for a place for your kids (18 months to 5 yrs) to run around and go wild, look no further.
  • Price: $3 per child or $5 per family
