Cool treats on a broiling evening
Bridge Builders combine Golden Valley Sunflower ice cream and music in Brookview Park.
On what was probably one of the hottest days in as a city, hundreds of residents braved the weather to enjoy First John Philip Sousa Memorial Band while enjoying a variety of ice cream provided by Sebastian Joe's.
Sebastian Joe's created a special ice cream for the occasion, called Golden Valley Sunflower.
The event, sponsored by Bridge Builders and Envision, is in its fifth year. City Council members and city staff scooped up ice cream for residents of all ages.

"It's easy to get people out for free ice cream," said Marshall Tanick, a Bridge Builder.
