Be a Part of Run the Valley... Without Running
Golden Valley needs your help for the April 9th race.
Just because you won't be running in next month doesn't mean you can't be a part of one of Golden Valley's most popular events of the year.
Volunteers are needed in a variety areas including:
- Assisting along the course, especially for the 5K/10K splits
- Manning the water stops
- Helping at the finish line
- Assist at the chute area
- Run results to results table
There will be a brief meeting for all volunteers at 7:50 AM the day of the race. Please make sure you dress appropriately for the weather and the designated role you have been assigned to. Volunteers will be taken to their course locations around 8 a.m. and picked up at the end of the race around 10 a.m.

The start and finish of the annual race is at (back side of Meadowbrook School), located at 5430 Glenwood Avenue.

All the funds raised for the event are allocated to the agencies funded by the GVHSF selection committee. In 2011 the agencies are: Crisis Connection, Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery, Home Free, NW Suburban Dinner At Your Door, HOME Maintenance and Outreach Program through Senior Community Services, PRISM, The Bridge for Youth and TreeHouse.
