You’ll see stars at Mike Lynch’s StarWatch Party

WCCO personality Mike Lynch has a way of making the stars accessible to everyone. Don’t miss it when he brings his StarWatch Party to New Hope from 8 to 10 p.m. on Friday, September 6. The event is open to everyone ages 7 and over (kids ages 7 to 15 must be accompanied by an adult).

Lynch will teach participants where to find popular constellations in the night sky and share some stories about how the constellations “made it up into the heavens.” Lynch will bring two giant 20 inch reflector telescopes to provide closeup views of star clusters, nebulae, galaxies and other wonders of the skies. Handouts will include user-friendly star maps and constellation charts, a telescope buying guide, a list of useful websites and more. His popular book, Mike Lynch’s Minnesota StarWatch, and other merchandise will be available for purchase.

The event will be at the New Hope Outdoor Theatre, 4401 Xylon Ave. N., just west of New Hope City Hall. The program fee is $12 per person.
