Special Education Advisory Council Meeting Scheduled

Robbinsdale Area Schools Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) will hold its next meeting on  Monday, October 28, 2013 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at the Education Service Center, 4148 Winnetka Avenue North, New Hope, MN 55427.

SEAC is a group consisting of parents/guardians with children who have special needs, community members, district teachers and staff, Director of Special Education and a school board representative. The purpose of the organization is to:

·         Advocate for high quality programs and services to meet the needs of children with disabilities and their families.

·         Advise the school district on special education policies, procedures and practices.

·         Assist the school district in identifying areas of improvement relating to special education.

·         Encourage and facilitate communication and mutual support among parents, school personnel and the community.

Interested parties are invited to come to the next meeting to learn more.
