Seniors Pack for School

Sixteen volunteers from the Covenant Village of Golden Valley retirement community, including Barb Johnson and Dennis Flom (above from left), helped outfit economically disadvantaged students with the supplies they need for school. In just one day, the volunteers equipped nearly 450 students with the tools they’ll need to succeed in school. The students selected the backpacks and supplies from a storeroom of supplies donated to the social service agency PRISM by the local community. Helping students get ready for school is one of the ways PRISM (People Responding In Social Ministry) helps local families during times of financial hardship.
